Terms of participation

FOREWORD


Unfortunately, no one yet knows what legal or regulatory requirements will apply on the day of the event, or how the Corona pandemic situation will develop by then. Therefore, we have considered what adjustments we need to make so that the event can be held while ensuring the health and safety of participants and volunteers.


We know that certain changes will make it a different experience "38th Überherrner Road Race", for this we need your understanding, support and assistance.

Health and physical requirements


Each participant is aware of the high physical load and confirms with the registration to meet the health and physical requirements to participate in the event. We strongly recommend to have a sports medical examination before participating in the event in order to exclude health risks due to the high physical load.


Registration


Registration takes place exclusively online in this ticket system.


Registration is possible from 31.01.2022 until 24.04.2022.


We reserve the right to reduce the number of participants and to cancel the registration of individual participants for this purpose, if this should be necessary for the implementation of the event due to official requirements. Cancellation will be made in reverse order of the date of registration.


Payment


Payment of the entry fee can only be made via direct debit, or our payment provider Stripe (credit card, Giropay). Bank transfers are not possible. Direct debit is only possible until 14.04.2022, direct debits will be collected one week before the event.


Own cancellation, changes or cancellation of the event


Change/cancellation participant


If the participant is prevented from participating, there is no right to a refund of the entry fee.


Changes or cancellation of the organizer


The organizer is entitled to change or shorten the course and to change the starting field size and number of races in case of bad weather, construction sites, official orders or other unforeseen events. In case of an event of force majeure -in particular bad weather, major damage or pandemics- or official orders, the organizer is entitled to cancel or postpone the event. Also in this case there is no claim for refund of the entry fee.


Duties of the participant




At this point in time (end of January) a 2G proof is required for participation (athletes, spectators, helpers, etc.) in sporting events outside (see Saarland Corona Ordinance). What the situation will look like at the end of April is not yet foreseeable and we reserve the right to exclude athletes and other participants from our event who are unable to provide the necessary proof of participation at that time.


In case of violation of the above mentioned obligations we reserve the right to exclude the participant from the event for the following years.


Disclaimer


Each participant takes part in the event at his own risk, danger and account. Any liability of the organizer is excluded. The participant waives any recourse and legal claims against the organizer for material or physical damage caused by himself or others. An own liability and accident insurance is recommended. Furthermore, the liability of the organizer for a possible infection with respiratory diseases during the participation in the event is excluded.


Data protection/data processing/terms of participation



By registering, the participant declares to have read and accepted the conditions of participation and privacy policy. This is ensured in the registration form by two mandatory checkboxes. The participant thereby consents to the processing of data for the purposes stated below:
